It's been a very interesting week so far. Let's see....I had a wonderful time with Qing in Austin last weekend. After I came back on Sunday night, my bedroom was invaded by a troop of giant ants. I didn't pay much attention in the beginning until I got bitten all over my body after two days. I was so mad and frightened that I asked for help from the leasing office and Qing. However, I ended up dealt with the problem on my own. Thanks for the washing machine and Raid, I killed hundreds of giant disgusting ants in one night! I am so proud of myself! I told Leo that this is the price those ants had to pay for interfering my living area --- DIE!!
Besides the war between me and the ants, I also finally feel happier in the company. My manager made another promise that he would get me all the resource I need for the project. And this time, he kept his words. I am now working on a project that gives me what I want for a job: programming and a flavor of research! The best part is that neither I nor my manager knows what would turns out! Although it's great that I can work on this type of ideal project now, I know in reality, working in a IT department doesn't guaranteed you such a Christmas life most of the time. Thinking of this, I feel sad. I think if I could find a job in a IT company that deal with software or social network in Austin, that would be perfect. Otherwise, the only benefit for me to giving up the research under Dr. Caverlee will be living with Qing everyday. Oh........it's still so hard to decide. I don't want to earn A LOT of money, I just want to live happily.....Anyway, I should stop whining.
Poor Leo had to go on an adventure for his towed car last night. While enjoying the alone time after work these two days, I really hope he get to solve every trouble for this very unfortunate issue.
Today is Thursday, I am looking forward to this Saturday! I am sure we(Paul, Tina, Philip, Leo and me) will have a wonderful time together. Yay!
